Biography
Hello, I’m Silvia Galve, a lawyer specialising in real estate law and CEO of SGM Abogados! In this space I want to tell you my story, how I got to this point.
Since I was little, my entrepreneurial spirit was already taking shape. I have always been a restless, resourceful and entrepreneurial person. My path has not been linear, but each experience has been a stepping stone to where I am today.
At just 22 years old, I finished my degree in Law in Valencia, and in just 4 years. I didn’t have time to waste, so I loaded myself with subjects more than usual. During those years, I combined my studies with working at Zara for 25 hours a week and continued at the Marcos Traval modelling agency in Valencia, where I worked from the age of 15.
After briefly exploring the banking world at Banco Bsch (now Santander), I was looking for more. So I ventured to England to perfect my English. I then spent over 20 years working for a real estate agency, leading 4 departments: Legal and Legal, Second Hand, Mortgage and Insurance. Despite the success, the company closed and I found myself at a turning point.
In the face of adversity, my nature of action took over. Pregnant and at a time of job uncertainty for both my husband and I, I decided to start my own business. With a rented premises, a new car and my mobile phone, I embarked on this new adventure. From the beginning I had the support and effort of Esther, my operations director.
The beginnings were challenging, balancing motherhood with work. But since 2015, we have seen exponential growth. We have dedicated ourselves to continuous training in areas such as law, languages, personal development and leadership. Our company has been built on solid values and a distinctive “SGM” culture.
I am excited about this new project. After years of effort, learning and passion, I have decided to launch my personal brand and the SGM Academy, together with my team Esther and Inés, to provide specialized training in the field of real estate law to lawyers and law students. I will be able to tell you many more details soon!
